What is MediBrief?
MediBrief is a device-first mobile app that keeps your family’s medical records ready for an emergency — encrypted on your own phone, never on our servers — and built on India’s ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account). It is made for the people who manage a family’s health: caregivers tracking ageing parents, children, or an ongoing condition.
Who MediBrief is for
MediBrief is built for families and the people who care for them — anyone who keeps track of someone else’s health alongside their own. Anyone with an ABHA ID can use it. It is designed to be simple and trustworthy for everyday Indians, not just the tech-savvy.
How MediBrief works
- You link your health records through India’s ABDM ecosystem using your ABHA ID.
- Records — prescriptions, lab reports, discharge summaries and more — are stored encrypted on your phone, not on our servers.
- You build an Emergency Health Card that can be reached on the lock screen, so critical information is available in a crisis.
- You can add Emergency Cards for the family members you’re responsible for.
- Nothing is shared without your explicit consent.
What makes MediBrief different
- Device-first by design: your records live on your phone, so privacy isn’t a promise about our servers — there’s nothing sensitive on them.
- Built for caregivers: family Emergency Cards make it easy to manage more than one person’s health.
- A real person, no ads: support you can actually reach, and no advertising business model on your health data.
- Plain-language summaries (coming soon): help understanding what a record means is planned for a future version.
Privacy & compliance
Your records are encrypted and kept on your own phone, and nothing is shared without your explicit consent. MediBrief is built to align with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and the ABDM rules. MediBrief does not sell your data or run ads against it.
What MediBrief is not
- It is not a web platform — your records are not stored on a website or in our cloud; it’s a mobile app where data stays on your device.
- It is not a substitute for medical advice — it helps you access and carry your records, but does not diagnose or recommend treatment.
