Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about MediBrief and how it works with ABHA.
About ABHA
What is ABHA?
ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is a unique 14-digit health ID created under India’s Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. It links your health records across hospitals, clinics, and labs so you can access them digitally anytime.
Do I need an ABHA ID to use MediBrief?
Yes. MediBrief works with your ABHA ID to securely fetch and organize your health records. If you don’t have one yet, you can create it for free at abha.abdm.gov.in.
How MediBrief Works
How does MediBrief work?
MediBrief connects to India’s digital health infrastructure using your ABHA ID. It pulls your medical records from participating hospitals and labs, then presents them in a simple, easy-to-read format.
How do I get my health records on MediBrief?
Once you connect your ABHA ID, MediBrief automatically fetches records shared by hospitals and diagnostic centers through the ABDM network.
Do I need to download an app?
Yes — MediBrief is a mobile app (Android first). Your records live encrypted on your phone, not on a website or our servers, so they’re with you even offline.
Data & Privacy
Is my health data safe with MediBrief?
Your records are encrypted and kept on your own phone — not on our servers — and nothing is shared without your explicit consent. MediBrief is built to align with India’s DPDP Act and ABDM rules.
Can I control who sees my data?
Yes. MediBrief uses a consent-driven architecture. You decide which records to share, with whom, and for how long. You can revoke access at any time.
Can I delete my data from MediBrief?
Yes. You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time.
Pricing & Access
Is MediBrief free to use?
MediBrief will be free for individuals during early access. We’ll share pricing details for premium features closer to launch.
Who can use MediBrief?
Anyone with an ABHA ID can use MediBrief — individuals, families, patients with chronic conditions, or anyone who wants easy access to their health records.
Is MediBrief a substitute for medical advice?
No. MediBrief is an app that helps you access and understand your health records. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment recommendations.
