A note from us

You found a quiet corner of MediBrief. We’re a small team building this so that no family is ever caught without their health records when it matters most. Thank you for being curious — it means more than you know.

— Team MediBrief

Your health data, protected

MediBrief is device-first by design. Your family’s medical records are encrypted on your own phone — not on our servers. That isn’t a promise to guard a database; it’s a decision not to hold your sensitive data in the first place. Here’s exactly how we protect it, and what we will never do.

How we protect your data

It stays on your phone

Your records live encrypted on your own device, not in our cloud. There is no central pool of health data for anyone to leak.

Encrypted & locked

Records are encrypted on-device with AES-256 and locked behind your fingerprint or PIN. Only your Emergency Card opens without unlocking — by design, for a crisis.

Shared only with your consent

Nothing leaves your phone without your explicit, per-record consent. You can see every consent you’ve given and revoke it at any time.

No ads, ever

We do not sell your data and we do not run ads against it. Your health is not our advertising product — and never will be.

Built on India’s standards

MediBrief is built on India’s ABHA / ABDM ecosystem, so record-sharing follows the country’s official, consent-driven health-data rules.

You can walk away with it

You can export your data and delete it from your device whenever you choose. It’s yours, not ours.

What MediBrief will never do

  • Sell, rent, or trade your health data.
  • Run advertising against your records.
  • Share a record without your explicit consent.
  • Keep your records on our servers after you delete them from your phone.

Why “on your phone” matters

Most apps ask you to trust that they’ll guard a giant database of everyone’s data. We took a different path: we keep your records on your device, so there’s no central store of health data for a hacker, an insider, or some future owner to misuse. Privacy that’s true by design beats privacy you have to take on faith.

You’re in control

  • Consent every share: you approve each record before it’s pulled — for a purpose and a time window you choose.
  • Revoke anytime: withdraw a consent and the linked records are removed from your device.
  • App lock: your records sit behind your fingerprint or PIN, on by default.
  • Delete & export: take your data with you, or wipe it from your phone — your call.

Privacy law & compliance

MediBrief is built to align with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and the ABDM health-data rules — consent-based sharing, collecting as little as possible, and your right to access and erase your data. We’re honest about where we are: MediBrief is pre-launch and still integrating with ABDM, so we describe how the app is designed and we don’t claim certifications we don’t yet hold.

Where we are

MediBrief is in early access, built in the open. As we connect to ABDM’s production systems and complete India’s required security reviews, we’ll keep this page current. If anything here isn’t clear, ask us — we’d rather answer than have you guess.
